Born in 1977 in Hampshire where she lives today, Paula Mitchell graduated with an illustration degree from Portsmouth University.

Her creative practice is driven and informed by her passion for painting ‘en plein air’. She carefully observes the light and life of her coastal, countryside and city surroundings, placing these into expressive and insightful painting compositions.

Paula is a multi-award-winning artist with the Federation of British Artists, a member of the Wapping Group and an elected Associate Member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists.
